Something Borrowed, Something Blue Worn on Your Wedding Day

January 14th, 2011 Raymond No comments

I found this article in the Web. I’ve been spending too much time surfing. See if you think it’s interesting.

Most people have heard of the old tradition that the bride should wear “something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue”. This is a centuries old tradition and is meant to bring the bride all the luck in the world. But did you know that each of these four things is meant to represent different types of luck? “Something old” represents links with the past and the good luck that was in the family in generations past. To ignore one’s past is to cut off a large part of one’s present, so wearing something old is meant to give greater richness to the present moment.

I hope you find it useful. I’m always surfing. Click the ‘Go to Source’ link for details.
